MORMON POLYGAMIST HISTORY
(The Real Fanny)
I always knew my ancestors were polygamists. But I didn't discover Fanny Alger
was my great-great-great-aunt until just a few years ago.
Some say Fanny Alger was a Lolita who seduced poor married Joseph Smith.
So he made up the whole polygamy thing to justify being with her after his wife caught them together.

Others say Joseph Smith was just following the word of God and sweet Fanny fell in love with this man her parents said spoke to the Lord.
On her death bed at 73-years-old Fanny Alger, no longer considering herself a Mormon, would not discuss the relationship.
She had long ago left Joseph Smith and married another man.
Here is a fact no-one can deny. Fanny Alger was a 13-year-old girl hired to clean house and take care of Joseph Smith's children.
She became his first plural wife a year later.

This was the beginning of Polygamy in the Mormon Church.
